KEVIN O’REILLY

PRESIDENT, BECKMAN COULTER DIAGNOSTICS

Kevin O’Reilly was appointed president of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in 2023. He is driven by a passion for helping laboratories achieve excellence in their operations and empowering doctors with critical laboratory test results that change and save the lives of patients. His leadership is focused on growing the company’s business and rallying associates to win together in support of Beckman Coulter’s customers and mission to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare, One Diagnosis at a Time.

Kevin brings more than 30 years of experience accelerating and delivering innovation on a global scale within the healthcare industry. Before his current position, Kevin served as president of Radiation Oncology Solutions at Varian Medical Systems, where he was responsible for more than $3 billion in revenue and 6,500 associates worldwide. Under his leadership, the company’s market share grew across all regions and achieved world-class customer satisfaction.

Kevin holds an Honors diploma from the Technical University of Ireland and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Trinity College.

KATHLEEN ORLAND

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER, CLINICAL CHEMISTRY AND IMMUNOASSAY
Kathleen currently serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Clinical Chemistry Immunoassay (CCIA) Business Unit, leading product strategy and new product development programs across eight global sites. Kathleen began her career journey at Beckman Coulter in 2005 as a Senior Product Manager for Immunoassay. Since then, Kathleen has contributed to our success in a variety of roles, including Director, Immunoassay Product Management; VP, Clinical Chemistry Immunoassay Product Management; VP, Danaher Business System and Global Marketing. Kathleen was instrumental in helping us define our customer value proposition and build launch excellence capability. Kathleen’s extensive industry knowledge and DBS expertise combined with her passion for innovation and solving customer problems drives the CCIA team meet their strategic goals.

Kathleen has a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned her Medical Technologist MT (ASCP) from NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, Illinois.

CHRIS HAGEN

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER, CORE LAB SPECIALTY PRODUCTS

Chris Hagen serves as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Core Lab Specialty Products at Beckman Coulter. In this role, he oversees the Hematology, Urinalysis, Automation, and Clinical Informatics Business Units, driving the strategic vision and innovation roadmap for sustained growth.

Throughout his tenure with Beckman Coulter, Chris has held key leadership positions, including Vice President & General Manager for North America, Vice President of Global Marketing, and Vice President of Global Sales Enablement.

Prior to joining Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, Chris led the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region for Hospira Infusion Systems, a subsidiary of Pfizer. His journey includes pivotal roles in marketing and finance at Hospira and Abbott.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration with a major in Finance from West Virginia University.

TERRY WALSH

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL OPERATIONS

Terry leads our global operations team, which is focused on manufacturing, distribution, logistics, supply chain planning, and strategic sourcing across all business units.

 

Terry brings more than 30 years of experience in supply chain and manufacturing leadership. Before joining Beckman Coulter in 2024, Terry led global operations at SI Group and held leadership roles at Henkel, Novartis, Merck, and Johnson & Johnson. Terry brings previous Danaher experience with ChemTreat, an operating company now part of Veralto. Terry holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and a Master of Business Administration in International Finance from Rider University.

ERIC KOLODZIEJ

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, QUALITY, REGULATORY AND CLINICAL AFFAIRS
Eric oversees direct and distributed quality, regulatory, and clinical affairs professionals worldwide at Beckman Coulter, ensuring our services and products meet regulatory requirements, quality standards, and clinical effectiveness.

Before joining Beckman Coulter, Eric held key leadership positions at companies including Roche Diagnostics, Perrigo Company and most recently, Hologic, Inc. where he served as the Corporate Vice President, Global Head of Quality & Regulatory Affairs. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Valparaiso University, an Executive MBA in Finance and a PhD in Analytical Medicinal Chemistry from Purdue University.

ZIVJENA VUCETIC, M.D., Ph.D.

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER AND SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, MEDICAL & SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS
Dr. Vucetic drives the medical affairs strategy and manages the Medical & Scientific Affairs team. She joined Beckman Coulter in 2022 and brings more than 15 years of experience guiding clinical development, clinical operations, and real-world evidence and scientific communication to achieve commercialization and operational excellence.

Before joining Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, Dr. Vucetic served as Senior Vice President, Clinical Affairs for Karius. She has held numerous leadership roles at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics and Fujirebio.

Dr. Vucetic earned her medical degree from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in Croatia, a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Temple University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

TOM NEUFELDER

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Tom Neufelder leads Beckman Coulter’s technology vision, strategy, and plans for growth, including monitoring technology trends, identifying opportunities to drive technological advancement, and sharing best practices across business units.

Prior to joining Beckman Coulter in 2021, Tom served as Chief Technology Officer for MaxQ AI which develops artificial intelligence and machine learning applications for detection of intracranial hemorrhage. Tom has held numerous senior executive positions at various companies including Philips Healthcare and GE Healthcare. He brings more than 35 years of experience in engineering and product development to his role at Beckman Coulter.

Tom holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

JAMIE PHARES

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS, HIGH GROWTH MARKETS

Jamie Phares leads direct and distributed teams of sales and support professionals located across our high-growth market region.  

Before joining Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in 2023, Jamie spent nearly two decades with Johnson & Johnson’s medical device and pharmaceutical divisions. In her most recent role, Jamie served as Managing Director and Vice President at Janssen Pharmaceuticals GCC, where she was credited with accelerating access to innovation, advancing external partnerships and improving profitability. 

Jamie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. 

MIKE REMBELSKI

VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL SERVICES

Mike is responsible for developing future service strategies that enable innovative commercial business models and deliver exceptional service to customers. He originally joined Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in 2019, where he led multiple operational improvement and efficiency initiatives as Vice President, Global Service Enablement.

 

Before joining Beckman Coulter, Mike led the global service organization at Hach, a Veralto Inc. operating company. He previously served as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Navy on active duty. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy.

CHRISTIAN BORJESSON

PRESIDENT, BECKMAN COULTER MICROBIOLOGY

Christian Borjesson is President of Beckman Coulter Microbiology, a leader in the accurate detection of emerging antimicrobial resistance.

 

Prior to joining Beckman Coulter in 2023, Christian held roles of increasing responsibility at Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Product Management and Marketing. Before Cepheid, he held various leadership roles at Becton Dickinson and bioMérieux. Christian earned a Master of Science in Economics from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration.

TOM COFFMAN

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Tom Coffman oversees the company’s finance and information technology operations.

Tom joined Danaher Corporation in 2007, following a 13-year career at Ernst & Young. At Danaher, Tom has held various leadership roles at Danaher Corporate, Beckman Coulter and Phenomenex. He is a proven global finance leader with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies that create sustainable competitive advantage and deliver results.

Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland.

GRADY DAVIS

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL MARKETING, MARKET ACCESS & COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIPS

Grady drives our strategic and product marketing, market access and commercial partnership initiatives.

 

Before joining Beckman Coulter in 2024, Grady served as Vice President of Global Commercial Marketing for Medtronic's Structural Heart business. During his 15-year tenure at Medtronic, Grady held pivotal roles leading global marketing functions, regional markets, business development, product core teams, education & training teams and sales. Prior to Medtronic, Grady held various sales roles at Pfizer. Grady holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Toledo and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami (FL).

KETAN DESHPANDE

VICE PRESIDENT, DANAHER BUSINESS SYSTEM
Ketan drives global Danaher Business System (DBS) capability and continuous improvement across Beckman Coulter to build our competitive advantage. He joined Danaher in April 2023 through the Operations and Supply Chain Leadership Program. 

Before joining Danaher, Ketan held key leadership positions at Integer Holdings Corporation, Trelleborg (Quadion LLC), Ambit Inc., Watson and Marlow and multiple private equity companies. Ketan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University, Pune, India.

MARIANNE HELSTRUP

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT LEGAL & GENERAL COUNSEL
Marianne oversees a global team of associates in compliance and business ethics, risk management, intellectual property and transactional legal. 

She joined Danaher in 2019 as General Counsel and Vice President of Legal at Radiometer. Prior to joining Danaher, Marianne held various leadership roles in the legal function at Lundbeck, a leading Danish pharmaceutical company specializing in neurologic and psychiatric diseases. Before Lundbeck, Marianne had a private practice career, primarily focusing on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation. Marianne holds a Master of Law from the University of Copenhagen and is licensed to practice law in Denmark.

PEGGY QUIRK

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES

Peggy leads our global human resources organization and organizational development strategies.

 

She joined Beckman Coulter following a cumulative 20-year career at Medtronic where she most recently served as Vice President for Medtronic’s Acute Care and Monitoring business. Peggy also brings over ten years of career experience in HR consulting with clients in healthcare, life sciences and biotech. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Master of Arts in Industrial Relations/Human Resources from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Business. Peggy is also an accredited professional and executive coach.

JOSEPH GOTTFRIED, M.D., J.D.

VICE PRESIDENT, STRATEGY

Joseph Gottfried leads Beckman Coulter’s global strategic planning and business development initiatives.

 

Joseph has two decades of experience transforming operations and organizations in the healthcare space. He has held key leadership positions in healthcare and consulting companies, including MEDIAN, Cornerstone Healthcare Group, and McKinsey & Company. Joseph earned his Bachelor of Arts in History & Literature from Harvard College, Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is a board-certified internist and practicing physician who trained at Duke University.
