How We Work

Inclusion & Belonging

We appreciate different perspectives and work hard to create an inclusive work environment where our associates can deliver better and more innovative solutions to our customers.

We believe that an inclusive environment—one that fosters a true sense of belonging—is essential for innovation. When associates feel they can bring their authentic selves to work, they bring their best ideas too. That’s why we’re committed to attracting and developing individuals who value unique experiences, backgrounds, and viewpoints to help strengthen our culture. We are an equal opportunity employer and make employment decisions based on skill, experience, and career aspiration.

To support this commitment, all our leaders participate in annual training focused on building inclusion and belonging—addressing real challenges and opportunities in today’s workplace.

Beckman Coulter’s Inclusion & Belonging Council is helping lead this work across the organization. This council is composed of leaders representing a range of backgrounds, cultures, regions, and perspectives. With sponsorship and support from our CEO, the council focuses on:

  • Associate engagement
  • Inclusive practices within our work environment
  • Understanding diverse customer markets
  • Talent strategies including recruiting, development planning, training, and communication

Together, we’re creating a culture where everyone feels valued, connected, and empowered to thrive.

Parental Leave

Parental leave varies, depending upon the laws of the countries where our associates are based.

In the United States, we provide eight weeks of 100% paid leave within the first year of a child’s birth, adoption or foster care placement. This leave can be taken all at once or used in one-week increments (within a 12-month rolling calendar).

Volunteer Time Off

We know it’s sometimes difficult to find time to give back during a busy work week. Through our Volunteer Time Off program, associates receive 24 paid hours to spend time with the qualified nonprofit organization of their choice.
