Biomek Enhanced Automated Sample Titration (BEAST), A Fully Automated Method of Compound Titration for Counterscreen Assays Supporting Lead Optimization Projects |

BEAST is a combination of interconnected tools created to manage the whole set of compounds received at CIBE from our other client sites. Its main purpose is to supply the final scientists with the right titration plates that they need to run the different drug discovery assays. The system is based on a dual-arm Biomek® FX automated liquid handler system, controlled by a homemade Visual Basic application that captures all necessary variables directly from our remote Merck Oracle LIMS using a simple, comfortable and “just a few-clicks” graphic user interface.
