Biomek® PowerPack
The Biomek PowerPack, available from Integrated Solutions, is a collection of customized Biomek steps and other utilities that work together to provide increased functionality to the base Biomek software platform. The first major update to the PowerPack is now available, and we have created an Integrated Solutions Showcase to give our users an overview of this custom product. |

Highlights of the PowerPack include the Normalization SuperStep, a powerful yet intuitive step that uses existing sample concentration information and normalizes concentrations, either into the original plate wells or into daughter plates. Several new data handling steps are included in the PowerPack that make working with the Normalization SuperStep easier than ever before. Also featured is the Hit Picking Super Step, which is actually a collection of three independent steps that function in concert to handle the most challenging part of a hit picking process. There is also a powerful Alarm module which provides email-on-error and other notification capabilities, and a Project Synchronization Utility that helps users manage items in different projects on one computer. Rounding out the functionality are steps that allow for visualization of data sets and variables, enhanced logging capabilities and other advanced tools. Vi-CELL® XR Cell Viability Analyzer Integration With Biomek NXP
The integration of our compact Biomek NXP platform with the Vi-CELL XR provides researchers with the ability to actively monitor cell viability prior to or during an assay, reporting this data back to the automation system, to allow for not only documentation of cell viability, but also mid-run decision making capability based on the viability results. The use of high-quality cells results in high-quality assay data! This integration highlights the synergies between diverse product lines within Beckman Coulter.
