From Evidence to Practice: How MDW Implementation Can Impact SEPSIS Detection and Risk Assessment
In this workshop, attendees learned how Udine University Hospital incorporated MDW in their standard operating procedures, transitioning its application in early sepsis detection from clinical studies to medical practice. In addition, the experience from University Hospital 12th October shared benefits arising from Monocyte Distribution Width (MDW) use in daily routine. MDW is the only regulatory cleared hematological biomarker available with the first blood draw that helps to identify severity of infection and risk of sepsis in adult patients in ED.
